David and Nancy have a heart for the people of West Oahu and sincerely desire God's many blessings for Hawaii. Their previous twelve years of ministry on the Big Island have taught them a lot about the culture and kindness of the Hawaiian people.
Having transferred to LA for five years to work with new church plants there, they are back on Oahu. They believe this new church will exist to see individuals and families encounter the real God through real relationships. They dream of many who will give their lives to Jesus for the first time, along with many who will come back to Him in a renewed relationship.
They envision God strengthening relationships and marriages, with healthy families being a solid foundation in the community. They dream of many who will be raised up as leaders and sent out to start new churches and do mission work in Hawaii and around the world.
David and Nancy have three adult children who they raised in Hawaii, and three grandkids. Before Hawaii, David pastored three mainland churches before planting and pastoring a church in Kona for seven years. He then worked in Hawaii as a Church Planting Catalyst for The Send Network for five years, assisting twelve new church starts.
Still working with The Send Network, he moved to Los Angeles to help fifty-two more new church plants get started there.
David and Nancy sensed God leading them back to Hawaii to plant this new church in Kapolei. David thinks God's ways are so amazing, especially since he worked as an accountant in Arizona for seven years before God called him into full-time ministry. He then attended seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where he received his degree, Master of Divinity in Theological Studies from SWBTS.
David says, "If God can use an ordinary guy like me, and He has, He can use anyone." God definitely uses regular people in His work.
How about you?
What is God wanting to do through you?
Let's do it together.
